Reading Health System Alvernia University partnership: Mutually beneficial
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics expects 711,900 new nursing jobs between 2010 and 2020. In fact, it’s not just nursing that is seeing a boom, seven out of 21 of the top occupations with the largest job growth are healthcare-related fields, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Qualified healthcare professionals make valuable employees, which in turn creates value for hospitals – a truly mutual beneficial relationship.
With the implementation of the Affordable Care Act, hospitals are focusing more on the quality of care provided their patients. As part of this effort, the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute will examine the relative health outcomes, clinical effectiveness, and appropriateness of hospitals’ treatments.
Better healthcare professionals means better patient outcomes.
Training healthcare professionals to be better care givers is one of the many reasons why Reading Health System has partnered with Alvernia University to offer their Master of Science in Nursing, Healthcare Science Bachelor’s, RN to BSN and School Nurse Certification programs with a 20% Tuition Scholarship on all credits.
